How easy is your clio to drive & live with?

  Mercedes C Class Sport
I have a dynamique and find mine easy to live with and nice to drive...Just wondered how valvers, willys 172 and 182's are to live with? Much diff?

  R35 GTR
182 turbo has a character of its own. Look like a complete dick when reversing due to paddle clutch biting hard and making a load of noise.

Apart from that its easy. Compared to my 172 ph2 the clutch is easier in traffic. Petrol consumption seems to have improved surprisingly!

I give this car more respect. It gets warmed up before hammering around in it, and idles for a few minutes after every journey. It's only being used to get to work at the moment, which is 1.5 miles away. Cant wait for the weekend.

  182
easy peasy

only annoying thing is it rattles from time to time

lovely drive, power to get u out of trouble and have fun with
i love the clio 182 although see a 172 cup today and wanted it back lol

When mines good its very VERY good...and when its bad its horrid!

Overall mine is pretty easy to live with...but then again it gets lots of my attention so any problems or noises seem worse than they actually are.

Willy - Hard to get into gear once cold. Breaks don't really work. Things rattle. When it's hot you open the window (Manual AC) and then you get the fumes...It's crashy.... f**king love it.

172 - Was bit rough in the mornings...4 pots didn't work till they'd done 2 or 3 stops. Was comfyish with the coils...

new car....Lol...We'll see.Comfy ain't quite a word i'd use.

  M2 Competition
My clutch is a pain in the ass in traffic. Seats give me a numb bum after an hour or so. Cant reverse or reach the glove box strapped in. Exhaust sets off car alarms.

  A red missile
The ride can be harsh in a Trophy on bad surfaces but its a riot in the twisties, had it nearly 2 years now and still loving it. Impractical as hell though, rear seats are as good as useless and i'm always smacking my head on the boot becuase it doesn't open far enough, but if i'd wanted practical i'd have bought a mondeo :quiet:

Only real problem i've had is the good old engine temperature sensor going apeshit a couple of times, last time was when i'd just hit 3 figures on the M1 - I wasn't pleased.

My 182 sometime makes us tea, does the ironing and food shopping and goes to bed on time so not too bad to live with!!

where do i start...

the exhaust is extremely loud
the ride is VERY stiff and harsh
its that low it catches everything (had to raise it because the bumper was catching dips and bumps in the road!)
its gutless before 3k so you need to kick its nuts in everywhere you go (back to the exhaust thing!)

and the worst part, its sooo fun to drive so wastes all my petrol!

  Clio 172 mk2
I find the 172 very easy to live with

Only thing which I fould a bit tricky was the clutch when I first got it which I found pretty sharp/bitey

apart from the fact my car is a financial black hole i wouldnt change it :approve:

  172 FF
very easy to live with and the petrol on a 2.0 is about the same as my 1.2 & 1.4 16v. i always seem to use £35 a week no matter what. 2.0 is rubbish under 3k but its still loadsa fun and would recommend. clio's in gerenral are just a good value for money.

My 182's pretty easy to live with. Sometimes the rattle in my door gets irritating, and the turning circle can be a pain, but other than that I have no problems :)

  Clio v6 & Atom 300
255's are very easy to drive and live with.:approve:

Climate control.
Cruise control.
PAS.
ABS.
Plenty of low down torque.:)
Loads of grip.
Lovely 6 speed gearbox.
Bearable stereo
Sounds sweet!
Looks mad!

Its just a bit un-economical, small, and has poor steering lock. A small price to pay!

  Scirocco GT 210
It rattles and creaks like mad and the suspension in all four corners is screwed. I don't care though, it always starts and goes first time so it's all good.

The clutch is heavy and the accelerator pedal is stiff, quickly got used to that though. It's quite good on fuel. Town driving and hard nsl driving still returns high 30's mpg. Steering lock could be better, but you get used to the constant 7-point turns.

mines a piece of piss to live with, couple of minor niggles but nothing major. Main problem is fuel usage around town, but get on a motorway and it more than evens out.

  RB 200 Cup!
my 1.6 is fairly easy to live with but she sometimes wont stop moaning - especially when i leave the washing up undone. lol

but then i give her a bath and shes putty in my hands

  Non RS : (
mine has somr rattles, bit like a old sea boat, but thats Juts CHARACTER lol onest

  Clio-V6
turning circle is a mare
amount of fule i do is not too bad, its a pleasure to drive

been on my new mtn bike recently, so cant wait to jump in the vee for the first time in a like 4 days!

  172
Mine's a right pain in the arse.

Bucket seats & Harnesses mean its hard work getting in and out of, stripped out rear so shopping goes flying allover when it's in the back.
Had 17's on for about a year and you could feel every pebble on the road! Just got some lightweight 16s and the car feels a lot smoother.

And thats just the start :clown:

Mk1 RT by the way.
