how hard do you drive your 172/182?

i cant help but floor it everytime im in it!

Rarely goes over 4k on my daily commute to work as I cant afford to do 15mpg all the time, average of 30+ in week. Gets cained at weekends round country lanes if weathers alrate

Ive totally ragged mine from the day i got it! Its a natural thing ive aquired to since gettin it! Im running around 23mpg but im litterally goin to the petrol garage bout every 4/5 days!!!

Wen im out in the 30s n 40 zone its driven like a grandads behind the wheel!!!

Duals its 7k time!!!

I love it, its what i bought the car for so why not!!!

Immobs locked at the mo so its not been driven for 2 weeks, will hopefully be sorted in the week tho and back to what it loves best which is goin fast!!!

Yeah exactly, i mean i cant understand though who buy a powerful car like 172/182&drive slow all the time? Im not sayin that u should break the speed limit all the time but the car has a 2.0engine in it4 a reason so why not give it a bit of stick now&then!

Well i say 7k but thats mainly when i get into little tusels!!!

Id say im a 5.5-6k person when drivin against myself!!!Lol

Dont know too much about 172s but valvers are pretty rev happy anyway and i keep it well maintained so dont see why not!!!

I drive it really hard and over 10k miles I averaged 32 mpg! 172/182 engine is designed to be driven across the full rev range ... touching 7.2krpm isnt going to break it!!

i tend to got the arseholes in the astras up my arse ,untill i leave it in seccond off the roundabout and let them think there overtaking,then when there parralell cane it and watch there face drop.....they have to pull in like fools muhahahahah!

You the man! Clios still have quite a reputation 4being slow. I say whatever!! My motor has done me proud-left a Bmw Z3 behind the other week, the owners face was quite a picture when i met him at the next set of lights. hahahahahahahah

I know its no 172 but I hammer my car, tyres last 12k and brakes 15k.

And it only (?) gets 55mpg on the long run to work.

loony i love it i really do....... love the way it kicks in just around 4k rpm then again at 5.5k rpm....... feels so much quicker imo. love it!

glad youre enjoying it . Get yourself a de-cat and zorst on it. my supersprint really freed it up and revved alot smoother from lower down

Yep zorst and filter make it rev much faster 4.5 k for my old bird till the fun starts

I drive well hard, tattoos showing, baseball bat in the back, shaven head beretta 9mm in the glove compartment, steel toe cap boots, sap gloves covered in blood, muscles bulging, scar down the side of me face that i got in NAM all in a military humvee as well.

not shy at all of the 7.2k limit, when the engines warm and its safe ill gladly take it to the limit in each gear all the time.

My works only 5-10 mins away though so normal day to day driving dont really get to see over 5k unless im going somewhere different and then ill drive it like its ment to be driven again
