How hot does cam/rocker cover get?

I am pretty sure the paint I have used is not good enough. Only rated to 150degC.

Will have to change to Hot paint if the rocker cover gets hotter than this.

i don't think it gets that hot, surely the engine cover would melt?

Yeh, I think I'm being to cautious. The standards we use at work for validating automotive parts state the devices must operate between -40 to 120degC, so i guess I should be ok.

doh. i should have know the answer to this.

I guess I can go and put another coat of paint on woohoo!!!!1111

think when you have been out caning it, you can just about touch the cover, but it wouldn't boil water?

Not too hot, my paint hasnt melted off yet...

definitely wouldnt boil water.

Now should I paint the exhaust and manifold too?
