How long No Claim Discount is Valid

Can anyone tell me how long your NCD remains valid for. If I were to have had 1 years NCD 6 or 7 years ago but had not had a car since could I then use that in my insurance quote for another car now?

think they become invalid if not used on a policy for 2 years or more. not sure tho mate...

As above, think it only lasts for 2 years if not in use.

i work for more than and if you havent been insured for over 6 months, they cannot accept your NCB.
