How long to fit a Decat to a 1.2?

My mate is thinking of selling his decat off his 1.2 clio and I have expressed interest...

How long will it take to install and remove?

Will I see noticeable performance difference and how much louder will it be with just the standard exhaust system?

once ur under ur car its a case of 4 bolts yhat it but u may need sum new ones but doubt there rusty if ur car int that old

they will probs charge u an hours labour. it makes a tiny note at high revs my mate says he noticed his. im bein one soon from k-tec

Very little Sam, it's more of a noise mod than a performance mod on the 1.2's.

Will it even make that much difference to the noise when a standard cat back is installed?

on a standard cat back it will do very little, except make the car idle erratically. this is the main reason why k-tec scrapped their off the shelf decat and now sell a sports cat, and why the decat is question was a custom made one.

well compared to standard it idled slightly erratically with just a 200cpsi sports cat on it, so cant comment on that.

however you have to think, k-tec could have made considerably more money from selling decats than from selling sports cats. but they found it made it more erratic so have had to sell just sports cat. so i doubt they would intentionally do themselves out of some revenue.
