how low can you go?

wanting to lower my 172 cup,got 17" wheels,any suggestions?(i,ve been told will get away with 30mm)

I had 40mm apex spring with 17s and i hit a bump and it nearly ripped the bottom of my car out! lol
You can take the arch linings out which should make alot of room.

I had 17" on my Clio, and it was lowered 50mm, everything was OK
