How Low can you go

Ive got a phase two valver and im sad to say that ive got 17s. How low do people recommend on 17s? its 40mil all round at the mo which looks quite nice and handles well but i feel it can go lower! Has anyone got a lowere valver on 17s?
 


me and my cousin both run a problem free drop like this its a bit bump tho

60mm front and 80mm rear
 


My car scrubs a bit lowered 40 mil but your car takes the piss and looks the nuts! Defo the look im going for! Did you have to take ou the inner arch or cut the bumper on the back at all?

that is actually my cosuins car (sxi boy on here)

basically all u need to do is remove the rear arch liners and then get it slammed, then on the rear bumper its very close and wise to trim a tiny bit, usins some sand paper very slowly, as for the front your ok, if you go lower thabn this, you will need to do sum work to the archs but not much



it does scrub on front liners on big bumps and lock but not often, so its not worth removing them and getting sh*t stuck up every where
 


Not to mention the effects that removing arch liners cause, aerodynamics, rust, brick holes through the rear bumper...
 


yeh, but the rear arch lines need to be played with if u want to keep them in,

iv not had problems

stop worrying and get one with it!
 


I lowered my mates 60 on the font and about the same on the back.It catches very slightly on the inner wheel arch trims when hitting large bumps.
 


To be honest my clio dropped 40mil looks like what you call your decked clio. I havent really got much more room to drop it so it looks like the liners gunna have to go!
 


Well at the front how much clearance do you have between the tops of your tyres and the front flared arch?? Can you get your finger between the two??

If yes yours aint as low as mine! If no then your about as low as itll go!!! ;)
 


Nah my finger wont fit. Thats why i was on bout takin out the liner! How low is yours then mate? Maybe mine aint lowered 40 mil then cus when i took it in to be lowered i asked for 50mil and he said hell see what he can do but he doubted they could do it. When i picked it up it was a different kiddiie and i asked if it was 40mil and he said its what ever i agrred with the other guy! What do you think cus mine probs bout the same as yours. The back wheel is under tthe arch about 4mil and the whole tyre is under.
 


Yeah sounds the same as mine! No idea how many mm that is though cos ive got coilovers and just told em to make it as low as it will go!! lol ;)

Personally i think thats more than low enough!! Im not keen on removing an of my arch liners cos that is a bad bad idea!! Plus to make it lower on the front youll need to chop at the bodywork too!! :(
 


so then mate, you seem to be as low as all of us,

mines got all most all of the front tyre in the arch, and 1cm at the rear of alloy
 


well mines should be 70mm at the front, but iv not driven the car since its been lowerd and its the same as the above blue valver so it might come down a little

im not sure without pics? if your level with the tyre then 40mm ?

if the tyres up in the arch when benidng down level looking at it then 50mm?
