How many Mk1 V6 Clios were made

Does anyone know how many Mk1 V6 Clios were made?

The one I nearly bought had number 731 on it.

Sylvia, as far as I know, there was approximately 350 official imports into the UK but, I know for a fact that the garage I bought my car from also sold No. 481, so how the numbering system worked Im not sure!
