How many of you have had an air con problem?

I have a 182 and I'm currently about to get a 5th air con condenser fitted, due to stone punctures. I was just wondering how many of you have a similar problem and how common this is. The condenser is fitted right at the front of the car behind the bumper grille and is in the ideal position for stones to puncture it - I'm not technical, but this seems like a really stupid design. My latest puncture is by the smallest stone you can imagine!

My condenser looks original, I've certianly not changed it it 3.5 years or know anyone else who has for that matter.
