how much bhp from 1.6 16v?

im thinking ov getting a 1.6 16v and just wondering what can be done to them and how much power u can get out ov em?

Iirc 110 as standard , they use them in the super 1600 series but if its power you want just get a 172 as you will have to spend a lot to get a little zaust cams ecu remap porting nd polishing the list goes on and on

not too much, just consider it would be cheaper to buy a faster car. I know people will say "insurance". Yet if you tell them what you have done it will be more than the standard faster car anyway. Don't and you have to be evrything that drivers hate. An uninsured one!!!!!

in answer to ur original question apparently its possible to get them to 250bhp but thats with stupid amounts of money and needs serious revving

200hp as the S1600 series cars use those bits.
Depending how far you want to push its 300+hp could be done but you'd end up with a car with no original bits.

if your talking turbo then ultimately you wont have to stop thinking much until you hit 400-500
