talking over £100 to have a key cut and coded to the car imo

You could buy this, (blank key, no immobiliser/plip pcb)

Get it cut at any master minute type place, then buy a pcb for the plip from Reanult? Then, that needs coding to the car..............

Prices vary slightly from dealer to dealer but you're looking at around £150-£180 pounds. You will also have to wait 1 week as the keys are ordered from France.

Had a quote for £90 to do a spare key for a 182 (Original renault remote one) from this company...

Although it costs more if you wish to use their mobile service, they have to charge for the fuel and time, this £90 price is if you go into their store in Nottingham.

I paid £72 all in about 3 weeks ago by FoxTec in Southampton. Could t even read my old key so got the code from ECU.

Half hour and a new key later I can now get petrol without the worry of the immobiliser not disarming

I have just bought a new key, it was £100 for my clio, but i got the electric clicker one, so i was pleased with that price.

I also splashed out on some custom car mats as well, so car is looking ace!
