How much for a new front wheel bearing

  Renault Clio 1.8 RSi

As title suggests, what sort of price should I be looking at, as mine is now making a noise similar to a vacuum cleaner above 20 mph!!

thanks

About £40 I think PM me your Vehicle type and if possible the fabrication number of your car and Ill get the Renault code for the part if u want an original one.

  Clio 190bhp Hybrid

Was gonna say about 20 quid from GSF remember VAT is added. Although 16v bearing may be dearer. Anything from 45-90 mins to fit. Depends on how bad the old one is too remove I think.

If your doing it yourself, put aside a day as you need ot get the bearing pressed in, its fiddly and some parts can get stuck and annoy you like bottom ball joint and rod end.

The bearing from Ren is

77 01 205 779 WHL BRG FRONT KO 44.00 ---3 x 1

The Gen Ren ones are higer quality.

Just make sure the bearing is pressed in properly or it just wont last.

pretty easy to remove and refit the hub assembly.youll then need a garage to press the bearing out then in.if i do them at home i always keep the car to the next day so i can take the hub into work and use the press.
