How much for an engine conversion

mike8579 I read somewhere on this forum than any renault gearbox will fix clios so any 6 speed from a megan or laguan should be ok.

Also the megan is fitted with a 1.5 dci and a 1.9 120hp that you mentioned so i guess renault kept the same mounts dimentions. Therefore the engine + gearbox mounts should be a relitively easy transplant. Therefore i guess the price should be simialer to other straight forward clio transplant costs (about £1000 i guess). The 1.9 engine should have an amazing amount of power in it if you chip it and give it a larger intercooler you would get about 165 or so HP and 250lb torque. I have to admit that if only i had more money I would love to do this and have tried to work out how much it would be but I dont have the money or guts to try something like this.
