hi guys,
just wondering what my car would get if it went up for sale. Its a 2004 (54) 1.2 dynamique with a full sport body kit. imaculate all round with Oz F1 alloys (set of 5). just wondering because i am wanting to convert to a 2.0 as soon a possible.

Ok, I'd like an idea of what my Clio is worth.

It's a 172 in Flame Red- 02 plate
71k on the clock
Due a small service now, but book is stamped with every service up to now
Cambelt kit done late 2008
Last service did oil/filters/plugs/brake fluid
Tiny bodywork
Only modification is a practically brand new stainless exhaust (bit too loud for my liking hence thinking about selling)
Has MOT until May 2012
Tax until 31/10/2011

I just sold that exact spec for £3100, which I was happy with. High mileage is hard to sell!

Even Parker's give a 'Private Good Condition' price of £2795, which my car certainly is.
Right, going to ring my insurers 1st thing tomorrow.
For £2000 even a little hit would make the car a right off.

im thinking about breaking my 51 plate facelift 172
reason being last night it dropped a valve on no.1 cylinder which kindly beat the spark plug out of its home
i cant arsed to fix it so what is worth keeping for my other 172 (i.e. alternator etc )and whats worth selling and for how much
by the way its a standard car

my black 02 plate i paid 2000 for it last week
1 lady owner full service history which was done every year regardless the fact how many miles it covered , one year it only done 958 miles between servicing
like new inside and out not one mark anywhere
even got untouched original alloy wheel spare
88000 on the clock

edit forgot to add belts and dephaser where done last month which its only covered 20 mile since

Titanium Silver, Turinis (Perfect condition), K-Tec Exhaust, Both Cup Packs.
MOT till June 2012 / Tax till Nov 2011

Decent tyres. Only downside would be two small scratches.

Have spent atleast £1500 in servicing / consumables in 12 months of ownership. Not because it needed them ... because I'm an anal freak.

It's up for £4k. I know the mods wont help but I've had bugger all interest! I would have thought this was a good price?

4 days isn't alot though, mine was on PH for 3 weeks, initial interest and then nothing. Get it up on AT, sold mine within 24 hours on there.

Only got side strips painted and air vents painted.
I've seen prices for the mileage between £7,000 - £5,700. Wondered if this is right?

I didn't scroll that far. The ClioSport thing bugs me so I only looked at that

Tyres + brakes is £200+ labour. People don't want to be paying that when they buy a car. Especially at that price, you're going to be having people who are looking at the bottom of the market.

Get the brakes/tyres and even if you don't fit them, you can give them with the car. Put the price up if needs be. But really, seeing it needs those things, that you obviously know it needs, would make me wonder what else you've not bothered to change or spend money on.

Hi all... just wondering what my car would be worth.

MK2 PH2 1.2 16v clio dynamique.

Milage - 115k.

Tax - 5 months.

MOT - 11 months.


Ive got part service history, last serviced in 2009, changed the air filter myself and i will put it through a full service at Renault before sale.

Recent work that has been done on the car either by renault or my cousine, who is a fully qualified mechanic and MOT tester.

Timing belt was done at 87k

The rest of this work has been done in the 2010 - 2011

N/side wheel bearing.
Front ABS rings replaced.
Both anti roll bar links replaced.
New discs and pads on the front.
New AUX belt.
O/S ball joint replaced.
New earth braid.
New exhaust bracket.
Alternator belt replaced.
4 good tyres, about 6mm left.
3 small stone chips in the windscreen have been fixed by Autoglass.
Track rod end has been replaced, cant remember which side!

The sunroof has also been re-sealed as it was leaking.

The car sailed through the MOT last month with the only problem being the rear drums are slightly sticky.

The car has a few mods.

15'' multie spoke alloys.

Lowered 50mm all round on springs.

Stubby airiel.

Front and rear diamonds painted, along with all other plastics on the car in a shiny gloss black.

Also has RenaultSport alacantre seats in the front, standard rear bench.

Ice white LED sidelights and headlights.

The paintwork is in resonable condition for age, polished and waxed once a month and washed every weekend without fail, rain or shine.

I would be happy to take no less than 800 for the car.

Only when I got down to £3000 was I made offers and some were £2500 which I could get as a trade in. I've done a good few bits and bobs on my car possibly when it wasn't really needed but like you probably do I like to be sure things are in good working order. I get the feeling when most people come to buy your car It could almost be scrap under the shell as long as theres not a scratch on the alloys.
So I've decided not to sell. may as keep it now after spending a fortune keeping it driving a good way and making sure it lasts.

i have seen some shoddy examples on ebay. auto trader and PH for around £4000 so i should easy get 4k for it. where did you advertise your car?
