Do you know how much difference those mods made to your premium? That actually sounds quite expensive for such a clean record.

Rob, the declared mods accounted for £180 on my premium ie. the standard quote was around £580. I dont think Reno insurance are that hot on mods. Will need to wait until next year before I can look around for a cheaper quote.

I about about to pick up my new 172 and Directline want £470 with xs300 for me and my wife or £550 with protected no claims. Im 29 (wife same) with 5 years NCB and no points nor claims. That quote included a 10% discount for having house insurance with them as well.

The Renault dealer recommended trying Tescos which use the same quoting engine as Directline but they wanted £100 more.

Rob

All that for a 1.2!! Surely you can do better than that! That is about £52 a week just for insurance.

Out of interest find out what it would be for a V6 Rob!
