How much punishment can one Clio take??

  Lux'd Glacier White R26
In terms of engine, driving and performance though, it can take a lot of punishments and loves to be revved. Body work is a bit flimsy, but thats what you get from a french "plastic" Clio..

Tyson.

goood safety rating, crumple on purpose though...

top left is a citreon btw ;)

lol

  BMW 330d :)
If the clios are flimsy, that citroen must be made from cardboard! Look at the damage to the front of it compared to the boot of your clio. Scary!

Check the boot floor from underneath. The bumpers feed load into this area as it acts like a sponge to soak up the force of the impact. The bumpers themselves pop back but the damage could be hidden underneath it all.

Clio front ends are solid as fcuk . I smacked my 172 into a crash barrier going round a bend at between 50 - 60 mph , there was alot of cosmetic damage , bumper , wing etc ..... but the car suffered no deformation , i'd say the cabin of a 172 / 182 is a pretty safe place to be if you have a front impact accident .

Everything is fixed now. Other guys insurance paid for it all. It was all cosmetic tho. The boot floor was fine. I was more worried about the airbag going off, as he shoved me into the car infront.

  RB 200 Cup!
scientific fact - clios have less metal than matchbox cars and citroens are actually cunningly made of papier mache

I crashed my first car, a 1991 5 Door Clio, into a vectra. Vectra was a total write off and I needed a new light, bonnet and wing lol! Went to the scrap yard got the lot for about £50

Its best for a car to deform a rigid shell like a Land rover is dangerous in a crash as it just stops you dead a Clio will deform and slow the acceleration on your body down to acceptable levels.

they have various crumple zones, so the damage looks likes the cars weak when infact its design'd to, to keep the driver safe

I know cars are designed to crumple and stuff but it didnt stop me staggering out of my car and thinking 'Oh my god what have to done to my baby?!? I want to rip your head off and shove it up yor arse!'
