How much to lower my non-sport?

Sorry if this is a repeat, I did do a search but couldn't find the answer to my question.

How much would be a good but managable drop on my K4M? I want to improve the stance a bit.

Where could I get the springs changed? Is it a garage job? And how much is it likely to affect my insurance (I know that's like asking how long is a piece of string!)?
