How to do pop boot kit

I need to put a pop solenoid into my boot to pop it open but I cant understand how you might get the mechanism i have to pop open as you actually have to pull the lock?

How have others done it??

You have to align the solenoid so that when it opens it pushes the rod out from the lock.

You can do it fairly easily using the parts that are already there.
