Audi TT 3.2 V6
You need to match up the VIN no. (4 through 7) of your vehicle to the VIN quoted in the .rst & .cal files.I'll jump on this thread to ask a quick question -
My original ecu program was 8100_7803.rst.
Can i upgrade to either of the following -I currently have 8200_7804 installed. I was wondering if 8200_7C03 would work and if so am i likely to see any differences?
Yes you have to read the ECU, save it to your laptop (!) then write it with the correct .rst file so it can then accept the correct .cal file. You should be putting the .cal file iirc after have put the ECU write on.......
It seems very slightly quicker with fractionally better throttle response but the main difference is that it pulls better at low revs. I think the torque has been increased a fair bit.
I think I'm right in saying that the standard 182 came with 148 lb/ft & after the remap mine was RR'd at 163.3 lb/ft.
I have no idea about average mpg because I tend drive the car hard once it's warmed up.
I expect Henk could give some average facts & figures as to what to expect.
It's a standard, mint 182Do you have any other mods like a decat, widened exhaust pipes, muffler, cai (cold air intake)?? Or is it a stock Rs?
Do you need a battery charger to install/use the RS Tuner on a 172? Or just drive the car for an hour or so before you use it?
Me.
Know what I'm doing.
You must be havin a larrff! :rasp:
