how to keep used clay ?

Car  M135i
Just about to clay the car, was just wondering what to do with the other half of the bar that im not using so it doesnt go hard ?

It will go hard. It starts hard fella, hence needing to warm it up to use it.

Just keep it in the container it came in, or in a plastic bag.

can you use clay over and over again, i mean what about the crap it picks up the first time?

ive used old stuff again, as long as you havent dropped it should be ok.

wrap old in cling film (keeps the new and old from touching) and put in a sealed box (tupper ware)

i keep my bars in two seperate sealed bags i get nuts and bolts for work in and put them in the little box i got for them! Works a treat.

Old clay can be used for windows and wheels if it is too dirty for paintwork. These must obviously be kept separate.

I wouldn't use cling film, it tears too easily and leaves small bits stuck to the clay.

Just wrap each piece in a sandwich bag.

Should be using a secondary piece of clay. I buy, use on paint, then use on windows, then use on wheels as a last ditch attempt to get some useage out of it! Once it is grey with dirt, in the bin it goes!
