How to recover a saved WEP password?

Howdie.

Here's the situation. I can play the XBox downstairs, but as I keep falling asleep on the couch and waking up knackered I figure it would be better to just play from bed.

I will need a wireless dongle to use it upstairs (got one), but I don't know the key. It's a Netgear router and I don't know the admin login details, I could reset it, but then I wouldn't know what ISP details I'd need to enter:dapprove:

The WEP key is saved on this laptop (with a Netgear app) and my iPhone. Anyone know a way to recover it so I can use it on the XBox?

Is the netgear thing still set as defualt user and password?

Nope, not default login. I'll just have to surfice with a bad back at 3am

wep keys are sometimes written on the router, check all the stickers.

reset the router should be the returned to default settings then you should be able to search for it conect to it login to http://192.168.0.1/ user admin an password password an you should be able to set up a new key also change the password you may also find it more safer to use wpa

email/phone your isp for your modem details then reset your router settings and get the login

WEP is easy to crack you can download tools to break it in less than an hour.
