how to refurb wheels the cheap way (pre black stage 1)

ok, as u know, im going for the effect of RED TURBINES.
i thought well today, ill see what black looks like before i slap on RED.

well, this is what it looks like on my baby. and fcuked aint the word. :dead:

i have to sand down it a bit more, before the RED goes on. il do more 2moro.

this is what it looks like right now. (sprayed MATT BLACK)
oh and tyre shine added for that new look effect. lol

oh did my engine cover too. :rasp:

yea im gona sand it down. i ran out of sand paper. lol
i just got a bit spray happy today. this way, i can now see what areas i still need to work on.

update

i found a piece of sand paper in the cupboard.

i just sanded down all the corrosion/bubble s**t on that wheel.
it feels smooth now. you can see where i use the sand paper. lol

i can now spray that wheel properly tomoorrow

Wheels look good, should be able to get a good finish if you get them all rubbed down nicely like that. Still unsure on the red though but at least it's different!

get 300ml 2x matt black spray (or any colour that takes your fancy.
get sand paper

stocks halfords for spray. sand paper @ B&Q.

i sanded all the crap off. then i sprayed the wheel.
then i let it dry, looks for any bubbles etc. sanded that down
added some more spray. let to dry. took 60seconds for it to dry btw.
then put them on the car.
