How to remove cat from manifold?

  340i
2 small nuts on the exhaust side where the manifold meets the cat flange...

Will need some body to hold the bolt heads on the other side (through the engine bay)

left loosey

righty tighty

;)

Then what happens? I need it completely off the car but can't find the bits to unscrew it from the manifold side :(

you undo the 2 bolts holding the cat to the exhaust system... then it should drop off, may need a slight pull?

Engine Cover Off
Car on axle stands
Then get a light underneath if you can that should help you see and understand what you have to do.
Its not too bad to get off its getting the bloody thing back on thats fiddley unless you have girls hands.

If this is on a 182, and you can't see the nuts, get someone else to do it.

i think its the same i think u undo the bolts and it just drops off

i have never done it but i seen it when i replaced my center section

So I just undo the bolts connecting it to the exhaust centre section and that's it? What about getting it back on?

Convincing, then?
