How to remove the gear knob

ive bought another gear knob, but cant understand how to take the original 1 off? do i go to a renault dealer? or rip it off

you can pull the knob off, but i wasnt strong enough, so i cut it to bits with a junior hacksaw, then you got a solid white plastic thing, cut that aswell and lever it off with a flat headed screwdriver, then pop on your new one, tighten the grub screw, and hoover up your mess!

You can either cut it off centre with a hacksaw or give your old knob
a good hard tug as that usually brings them off.
