How to remove this style boot lock?

Ive removed one from a ph2 before simply enough, but im trying to remove this mk2ph1 boot lock to respray it. Does anyone have any ideas? Theres a few torx screws but i just want to make sure there isnt anything else i need to know before i attempt it.

Smack it with a fat hammer?

Should be fairly similar to the ph2?

In the 2nd picture the black box (actually locking motor) seems to be a bit hard to remove... i dont want to risk breaking it as this is my only one
