How to sand / paint door bullets ?

Got a spare set of bullets for £15 to play about with, was planning on sanding and painting or maybe trying some at home hydro dipping!

Anyway, was just wondering how people have managed to get the 2.0 16V sanded right down ? Guessing by hand will be way too much work and a belt sander might be too extreme. Thinking dremel with small sanding wheel or something.

Does anyone know who on here mods the door bullets where they sand away the 2.0 16v, carbon hydrodip them and then fit the decals?
