How do you differentiate between a Girling, Bendix and Lucas brake caliper? My front o/s one has a displaced dust seal, which has done the piston no favours. There appears to be no marking on the calliper to state which brand it is
I have a Mk 1 1.9 diesel and have been offered a pair of Lucas callipers from a Mk1 16v. If the calipers on my car are not Lucas branded (although the description I have been given of the 16v calipers makes them sound the same), will I be able to fit them as a pair? The brakes discs are solid, not vented by the way (should that make a difference).
