I find NTl/Telewest are one of the better companies, I think your either VERY foruante or unfortunate wit them, there is not inbetween.

Ive never had a problem with the connection itself, only hardware issues.....My mate 5 doors down has nothing but trouble.

And yes, they are the same company.

NTL is superb.

Cable bb is far better than any ADSL shite lol;)

the bt exchanges are far to full and the ratio's are just silly.

ive got NTL 10mb and its ace.

I'm on 4 meg NTL, been with em since 750k broadband years back, gradually its been upgraded for free, never had any problems, no caps or download limits although back in day they claimed 30gig a month but I regularly went over that without them saying owt, telephone with ntl to, tv with Sky cos NTL tv is shite lol

I have 10 meg NTL and it's great! Been with them for years and there's hardly ever been any faults. I've always acheived the speed I've paid for. Granted their customer service is crap, but I've not really had to phone them thankfully.

I also hear 25 meg will be along shortly for 10 meg customers.....some people already have it as part of a trial

Ive had 10mbit with telewest since it came out, been fine for years but since last night its been erratic and am hitting 1mbit at best.

Had NTL BB (1MB/2MB) for 2 years.

Apart from dodgy Customer Service and some hassle getting it installed, i've never had a single problem with it since.

No down time/hardware issues etc etc.

I'll be a downer to give it up when I move and have to go BT etc etc:(

Ive got 4mb BB, had no problems what so ever, and when I reach my 1GB download limit a day i just reset the modem and away it goes again.

The broadband isn't "toss" at all in my experience. Although saying that, there are definitely some speed issues this weekend.

The TV service always sucked major league c**k though. The box always took about 4 days to respond to button presses, and the program guide was so slow you were better off looking at the next days programmes. I also went through 3 physical boxes before dumping their TV service and going Freeview.

The BB is superb though. Uncapped 10mb = awesome

um i'm on 4mbit ntl and i've done 30Gb+ in one day:S(i only reset my modem if it plays up)

i'm sure that all ntl bb services are unlimited as i don't think they actually implimented there traffic monitoring software

We used NTL cable in our old place.

Cable internet was fine but the cable tv box was shocking. It was always crashing or running stupidly slow.

You don't realise how good Sky is until you've been with NTL!

NTL is unlimited, its not capped anymore and never has been really?! Look on your bill, it even says unlimited on that lol used to be 30gig a month but they didn't stop you if you went over 30gig.

I find myself reseting my NTL every other day! I actually miss aol.

Sure its the NTL router? I've got a wireless router plugged into mine and that kept causing the net to go down, firmware update on the wireless router sorted it. NTL cable modem has screwed up prob twice in the 4/5 years I've had it, needing a quick reset.
