I have read so much nonsence about CUPs. Even to the extent that they have a DIFFERENT Gear RATIOS and ENGINE MAPS ( U guys have to understand there is no difference other than a small weight saviing (granted, small increase in performance). Having had all three over three years. This madness is pathetic. Even to the stage that the MK1 VS MK2 is so far apart.
U guys need to understand there is no real dif.. between MK1 & MK2 & CUP

Having had an alloy bonet MK1 and U all forget most of MK1s were steel. There is too much nonsence about weight. MK1- MK2 most would be 15-20KGs and that is generous. The vast majority of changes are electrical not bodywork
why cant U guys just say the real "Truth". If U want a 0.40 - 0.0 difference between what is essentially the same car Say so , dont use excuses for lack of "what is basic every day specs." (sorry Renault, have played a good hand here) Yet again you may want JUST the "cut down" version, which is fantastic.

What idiots have being saying "Hologen lights weigh so much" !!!!Must be all of 1lb (.5kg God, No they do not even weight so much more). Granted the wheels must ne an extra 10KG. What else, some wiiring. Where is the weight in a climate control????????

e.g. (TODAY) PUNTO GT T pulls away as we turn R into the junction. He sees me and goes. GOD does he go, If I had followed I would have been yet another young fool. I watch the road ahead. He went like a teenager and had to brake before the car ahead. "D!!K" So easy !!!Already watched & followed the road, While young fool was trying to beat me all I had to do was watch the space. Within 200 yds I was gone past him, and two others. So what I did not respond to an idiot youngster who thought "I can burn him"
10 years of advanced Police driving has told me DONT LET CHILDREN THINK THEY KNOW BETTER.
