HPI Check before car comes into the UK

Is there any way to get a HPI check on a car before it was first registered in the UK (Import) ie find out its history before its UK history?

Is there any way to get a HPI check on a car before it was first registered in the UK (Import) ie find out its history before its UK history?

I doubt it . HPI's based on uk insurance , claims etc .....
