HTC Hero Sending Message Error

For some time now when i send a message 5 secs later i get a message saying 'unable to send with the Envelope logo top corner. Then a few secs after that the logo disapears and the message is then sent ok.

Any ideas what's causing this?

Just means when you originally sent it it couldn't so it tries a few times after to push it.

If it fails after a few attempts you have to click on the message then retry sending manually.

Network.mine does it all the time,friggin pain.

Mine does this all the time on my HTC wildfire too.
Retries several times, if it can't just gives up, so have to select resend again.
Drops calls all the time when I'm at home too.

Mine too...and sometimes the 3G connection drops to nothing and you can't even make a call, even though GPRS signal is fine! Really annoying.
