Looks like a really nice piece of kit. I have the HTC one for nearly a year now and im dead pleased with it.

Id certainly have this if I was looking for a new phone.

I want this so much. I'm using the ONE X at the minute with about 4 months until I can upgrade. Debating whether to pay the extra £100 and upgrade early now.

I've dropped my phone a few times etc. and is beginning to annoy me now! Battery life is about 5/6 hours with light use. About 1 hour or so if I'm using it as a sat nav. Get issues such as network disconnecting me for no reason.

As I'm typing this I'm on the verge of picking up the phone now and upgrading!

Might not be classed as a good deal, but I'm going for Double 4G, 20GB data, unlimted calls/texts on EE for £37.99 per month. Can't stray from EE imo when it comes to 4G. Their coverage just dominates other providers.

Bit annoyed that they've increased the size again though.

I've been really pleased with my One, but it's at the absolute limit size-wise for me. I already feel like I'm going to snap it if it's in my pocket when going up stairs.

Will need to see if I can switch my payg ee to that and keep my number, not bad deal for a new phone.

Never been a fan of Samsungs, feel bit cheap and plasticky.

i still think the M7 is massive its a shame they cant seem to make the mini versions as fully featured as the flagship

My sister just got it, she sounds pretty impressed. If the niggles I have with my HTC one are gone then i'd definately buy it.

Exactly. I won't be looking to upgrade again until next summer by which point I fear all the flagship handsets will be 5"+, and I'll end up having to go back to Apple.

i was waiting for the M8 to be released but tbh, im now edging towards the S5.

they said they took away the capacitive buttons at bottom to make room for a bigger screen, then add the same sized bezel at bottom. camera isnt meant to be that great.

The only thing i aint keen on S5 is the plastic back, but there was a rumor an F5 might be released with metal back. but this was said about the S4 too.

All reviews seem to say same, htc has by far the better design and build feel, but spec wise the samsungs infront

i thought they got the m7 right by sticking with a screen under 5" and i'm sure they could of packaged the 5" screen in the chassis of the m7 to make the m8

even with my large hands the m7 is about the limit for me.

We've already got the S5 demo in store and it isn't a metal back. It is however more like the Note 3 back and not as plastic as the S4.

yer theres was a rumor for a F5 or "f edition" but these rumors have come up before but never released on s4

I definitely wouldn't choose an S5 over an One M8.

Sense is so much less of a system hog than Touchwiz (assuming touchwiz is on the S5), it really does hamper the otherwise very good Samsung phones. HTC make a great job of overlaying Sense onto Android with many great features without performance loss.

i'd coming from an iPhone 4s, is there a way to transfer my itunes library to the m8?


i think the biggest thing stopping me is networks, on O2 currently. But there roaming packages are crap. 3+voda seem to be the best deals for roaming. Which I do a lot of due to work.

you used to be able to get a app for pc, that links to itunes and would copy all content to any sd card etc, so is possibleyer ive been looking at EE but there all 24 month these do roaming on some plans, cant do voda, no signal where i live or work lol

Came from the HTC One S and was concerned about the size but got used to it faster than I thought. The silicon case you get makes it easier to hold as well.

Yip - ultra crap but i'll be snipping the flap off when I get a chance - the old phone had 2 years without one and was 100% fine. Not needed IMO.

Awesome phone.

One hiccup - tried to delete that Blinkfeed gubbins - and it totally clears all your homepage settings to factory. Really annoying.

Speakers are really nice and loud. My free HTC BoomBass Speaker arrived yesterday, it makes such a difference - its effectively a sub for the phone as well as a stand, highly recommended if you don't mind the price.
