Humming and jerking

Hi guys recently my car has started humming, the hum gets louder the more i accelerate. It also jerks, the steering wheel will be constantly jerking from side to side. Any ideas?

I had thought about the wheel bearings but would this cause the car and steering to jerk?

Yeah first thing i did the humming sounds more to the front of the car

Haha yes but what i mean is it could be coming from the engine

I noticed that it is in fact louder when i turn left

should be a wheel bearing on the right side of your car. check your balljoints on the front, too. could be 2 related faults.
