I returned from Fuerteventura last week, Ive had 2 weeks of pure paradise!! How crap it feels to back! - i can tell ya!
Anyway a lot of you will remember about a few issues that I encountered with Renault Toomey’s Basildon before my departure. While having my clutch cable replaced for a third time now I decided to go for the clutch pedal replacement too. While my car was in care of the dealer they some how managed to put a big dent in the side of my car.
I wrote to Renault UK about my experiences (no hire car, charging £150 for a clutch cable & pedal that should have been a re-call, car being crashed into by Renault staff, hassles etc) a lot of people told me not to bother saying I wouldn’t get any where. Well I did! The bill for the work carried on clutch has been refunded in full, and also the cost of repairs to body work (which was already agreed anyway)
Just goes to show it does pay to complain, even though I’m not 100% happy with the outcome. This will be the last time I take the car to any dealership. I’ve only taken my car to 2 dealers before, both experiences have been sh*te. Specialists are the only people I would trust now, peeps like Hillpower or BBPT etc…
Anyway I still have a dent in the side of my car (as some of you may have seen Saturday @ southend) I need a “ recommended “ body shop to pull out the damage and touch it up. I live in Essex Basildon, any ideas?
