need some help please got a jvc head unit need it to work with an ipod but my ipod touch is too new apparently the software wont work?

So what other ipods will work? will the really small ones work? thinking of buyin a cheap one just to put in my car. cheers

model number of the head unit would help a bit, but as above manufacturers web site willl tell you more
