Trying to check tyre pressure but the caps are on stiff. I've tryed getting them off with swan necks but they'll still not shift.Got wd40 on em but still won't move. Need some way of getting them off without damageing the tyre.Anyone got any tricks?
i had the same prob with metal ones, had to have new valves cost bout £5 each, was told by the bloke at the tyre place never to put on aluminum valve caps on:S
metal ones.think its probably going to have to be need ones. Tryed holding the valve with pliers but its just shearing the rubber so I don't think theres much hope. Not to clever using metal ones I guess!
I had this problem and just got mole grips on the valve and another pair on the cap and turned them opposite directions....at first it didnt seem to be doing anything but in the end they came off...
This happened to me too... The metal ones arent worth a hoot, they corrode ontot the valve and are stuck there for good. If vice grips cant get them off usually time for new valve fitting.. Stick with the plastic caps, much handier.
