I changed something on Thursday!

Can you guess what i changed? I think it suits well....

In the last pick im looking for my head... have you seen it anywhere?

i added ITG to standard airbox and that was good. But i saw this filter for £30... (halfords you are awsome) and thought hmm.... whats the harm in trying, it look great i think and you can hear the spool up very clearly id go so far as to say it was fairly loud! its a definate waa tushh! now! before is was more like wasstsh!

I read on here about goose honk! but mine doesnt sound like a goose LOL, is that as i have Mr Baily? Does anyone know what the ideal spring rate is for the dump valve on this engine?

gains are it sounds loud higher up rev range, louder spool. it is set right back so heat soak isnt much of an issue.

4psi first gear then 8psi im told. twingo will be lighter so fater and quicker, better in the twisties too... hmm why did i buy a clio LOL

i got it for the mrs but keep driving it around myself lol, pokey little motor. i wana see how much boost i can tweek it up to till the ecu limits it or it pops.

They remap to around 125bhp i think aswell. I'd consider a twingo gt as they're coming down a lot now. With a nice set of alloys and coilies it could be a weapon.

You better getting a Cold Air Feed up to it mate wont be getting much air flow sitting where it is.

Looks good though....But you have to get an RS Grill on there standard one is GASH !

i ran the existing cold air feed up and round the k&N ive put on her she pssst's with the standard recirc valve pritty loud as it is :p

dude ive the crappy goose honk. its because the crapy boosh recirc valve leaks. once uve a bailys etc in it it does not sound like that any more! get us a video up :) looks well mate

your so lucky to have a clio sx mate, i went in to my local dearlership to try and get one but they dont make them anymore, only the dynamique s, plus some second hand ones are going for more than a new model.

I have the standard air feed to keep that area cool with air, the filter is as far away from the engine as possible as you can see. There is nothing but fresh air for it to suck on. It is high up too, dont shoot me down just yet - i know hot air rises - but its no where near the engine so no hot air to rise - just cool air being cooled by the cold metal bonnet. After a long motorway journey i popped the bonnet and the area was more chilled than an escimo at an ice cream palar so i know it doesnt suffer from heat soak.

i do need the grill... hmm...

Im not the best with PCs and i only hae my blackberry to use as a camera so cant really get a video up. more than happy to pop along and meet a few of you sometime, then you can let me knoe what you think.

its got all the extras too LOL aircon, climate control, cruise control, speed limiter, parrot hands free, heated electric mirrors, little control box where i can plug anything in from a sat nav to my laptop! I was told with all the extras it would cost £14k ish. It is a nice car.

that one. it provides both recirc and dump valve the extra air comes from the likes of a cone filter. ill be getting one for the tce as soon as possible.

The only error i know of is a wasshhttsshh sound! seems to come from around the bottom of teh dash area! :eek:

do the TCEs have an intercooler? if so I wouldn't worry too much about the heat soak in the filter it will be cooled before it gets to the engine...

ace, I was told that on a turbo engine an open filter is better than a closed one as it'll suck more air in, it doesn't matter that there will be heat soak as it'll be cooled through the intercooler before it gets to the motor. also, a front mount on a wee clio is cool :cool:

Ive got sick of it to be honest ive asked all the "specialist" to see if they can get me or get made for me some Braided lines, there all happy to reply and say yes we can get them made for you etc etc but im still waiting.... !!

Cost the earth atm mate as theyd be the first ones, ive been told abot some place local to me so will be giving them a call on friday.
