Would like to think you meant mine Mike, but I saw that silver mk2 roll up - and it did look a bit nice!!!
Things to check:
Brakes. If the front pads are mullered youre looking at £300 or £400 to replace. Rears are probably ok.
My front/rears seemed to wear very evenly, so might need rears changing too soon?
Tyres. Similiar really. If theyre shot (and at 20k miles they must be unless theyve been replaced) youre looking at another £300+ just for the rears. Fronts a little less but still ££££££££. Reckon on £600 for a full set.
Yup, just bought a full set of 18s myself - £590
You would say that! lolQuote: Originally posted by clarkiev6 on 25 March 2005

Nice car, tho i would not buy it. The performance between a V6 and the 182 is not far apart. The V6 is far heavier but has the bigger engine, the 182 has the size and more grunt than the 172. Pay £12,000 for a new used 182 and put the extra £7,000 in a isa or do some crazy mods to the car like a turbo or something..
£6000 in a ISA is £25 interest per month...so thats part of your insurance paid...
Id was highly considering swapping the 182 for a Escort Cosworth

There speaks somebody who has obviously never driven a V6 255. Just a quick note the Tracker subscription is none transferable so this could end up costing you £300.
It never fails to amaze me how this type of response appears on EVERY V6 thread related to buying or selling. Unless the person whos started the thread has said "shall I buy an Evo or a V6?" cant we just assume theyve made their mind up.Quote: Originally posted by AliasOmega on 26 March 2005
