i need a new laptop from?

iv got a sony caio at the moment that is about 5 years old and is showing it age, i have no sound, slow, the screen is dodgy and i have put 2 new hard drives in it.

im looking for a new laptop but dont really know where to start i want a good one but dont want to spend a stupid amout on one.

what are the ones out there werth getting and where are the best palces to get them from?

Recently got a Dell studio 15, complete steal for the specification. Apples look nice but I just could never justify the price difference.

We had a Dell Studio i7 with the HD LED screen, was mint.

Some c-unit broke into our house and stole it a couple of weeks ago, will defo be getting another if we can though.
