got my 172 3 weeks ago ish now, its awesome, really love it, but already thinking of buying a ph2 182 in that petrol blue colour , inferno , black gold or liquid.

i keep my cars on ave arout 7- 8 months.

but im also wanting to buy my own house etc.


so what i need to know for futre refrence is, whats the mpg like on a 182, what insurance group are they, running costs compared to a ph 1 172?

will prob seriously look in about 6 months

Mpg is bout the same.. insurance group is either the same, or one group higher... and I'm guessing the running costs are similar

I'd imagine the 182 will be very similar to the Ph1, maybe slightly lower MPG due to more power from the same engine, but then it's also newer so 'generally' less to go wrong, so cheaper maintenance.

just got a quote in one and its the same to insure as the 172

its all about living within your means lol i probably wouldnt be able to afford to buy a 182 and my own house,

also wouldnt buy a house on my own it would be a split mortgage sp* with someone else.

I had a 172 at 19 and bought my own house at 21 and now have a 182 cup in inferno, But have just ordered a vw eos !!!!

As for that the 182 and 172 were exactly the same for me, Insurance slightly more as i have moved house nut thats it,

which would take me 7-8 months anyway

nah, wont be getting another Clio, just curious to see how cheap a standard one is to insure purely out of interest... this will be my last Reno if I have any sense (prolly not then!), want to move away from hot hatches, I'm getting old now so need something a little bigger and more grown up... M5 or Skyline will be the next fast car purchase, prolly get a shitter to run abuot in inbetween!

Couldn't get a 182 though I dont think, it would be buying the same car over again pretty much... plus I'd have to mod the s**t out of it as it would be FAR too slow stock

she will still have cams, as mine's having some wilder ones installed when I get the head all gas flowed and re-worked. Think once Laura has some real mods on and it's running circa 200bhp then she might change her mind. Only thing about 182's I like more is the interior... but Mk2 seats are s**t full stop, no where near as supportive or comfy as the Williams ones...
