I thought I'd brighten up my interior...

So i sprayed my dash strips! I know it's been done before, but I really like the look of it and I'm secretly quite proud of the job I've done :)

I sanded them down to the plastic, primered , painted, added decal's and then laquered. I also thought I'd add the steering wheel decal as I don't have the insert with it being a cup.

Anyhow, some photo's:

I'm just waiting for the last coat of laquer to dry, then i'll get them in the car and get some more photo's.

The stickers make such a difference, even the airbag one. Really like it.

I attempted it a while back but failed. Badly.

Mullen, Ady182 does a decal set, look in N2Graphix in the trader section will be a thread in there.

Look good but you should've waited before putting the stickers on. They need wet flatting really.

Edit, oh you lacquered over the decals. That's ok then, still need flatting though.

cheers for the comments.
in terms of wet flatting, they look completely different in the flesh. the laquer wasn't 100% dry on the last photos and looks a bit raised. the finish is really smooth. i'll take some more photo's when i've got them in the car though.
however i am still happy with the finish i've achieved, especially seeing as though as it's my first spraying attempt :)

Looks good, Nathj just did my dash strips + gear knob insert and engine cover.

I think i may change the gear knob insert to a dark grey, not to keen on that being RB aswell.

they look good but you will probs find the paint will sink over the next few weeks, id be tepmted to give it a couple of weeks then give them a little flat and polish.

there both great cars in different ways, my clio isnt anything special but will get some pics up in the next week or so of the inside. i actually prefer driving the clio as the roads in leeds are shocking and you feel like your damaging the m3 all the time :(

i know what you mean.
since the snow Leeds is covered in potholes. dodging them feels and looks ridiculous.
