theres absoloutely no law against not declaring the accident unless you are asked, thats why the dealerships do it all the time, so no I'm not a tool

But for posting your cars registration on a public forum, which in both cases could very easily be linked back to you and your address is .............TOOL

What law has he broke? An trace him back for doing what exactly?

nice first post and i suggest you read the thread. the issue isnt about him getting billed, i in fact complimented him on that. its the selling a car on like a shady delboy thats the issue

None that I know of.....but when you post on a public forum saying how you have not been billed for a repair and you have sold the car without being truthful regarding its history.....Oh I forgot the bit about no insurance. Then include pictures of the cars in question, including registration numbers.

Then include pictures of the cars in question, including registration numbers.

you're so dumb, he got 6 points for the no insurance so they cant do him for that, its not illegal to sell a car and not disclose its history unless you are asked, thats why repairs are only recorded on the reg docs if its written off, its perfectly legit, the garage is out of business now so they cant do anything, so you my friend are the TOOL as you cant seem to grasp simple concepts and seem to think he is going to jail! Haha... some people.

Yeah, there loss for not sending the invoice. I assume the new owner of your old car, knows the extent of the damage before repair? Was it a CAT D?

god knows what CAT it was, never gave the garage any paperwork, never got any from them, never went through insurance as at the time I never had any as I had just lost my job, so I got my car repaired for free and still have 5 yrs no claims bonus, sold the car without disclosing the fact it'd ever been crashed

As long as the repair work was done properly and by a reputable garage then thats fine to sell the car on, but I personally would want to know that the car had been in an accident if I was buying the car.

My post questioned your fella's intelligence at posting (or boasting) his achievments, then basically giving anyone or any interested party the chance to trace him if they wanted via the registrations.

You have to question the intelligence of the people on here that would rather screw themselves out of £2000 by telling someone they will never meet again that the car was in an accident when they didnt even ask. Its common sense not to tell them and its common sense to ask. I think anyone would do the same.
