I recently purchased this head unit:
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=132690

It's the 9850Ri, also I purchased some speakers at the time (they were half price with the head unit). They are Inifinti Reference 9613i 6X9s. I know 6x9s are not to everyone's taste, but they should provide a nice amount of base without having to use amps, base boxes, etc.

Anyway, I'm getting the stealth shelf for these tomorrow.

While I'm at, is it worth getting some new front speakers, I'm thinking components rather than coaxials would be better?

Can anyone recommended any that would work well, I don't want to spend more than £100.

Cheers folks.

get the equivalent infinity speakers for the front, or some alpine r-types.

Or if you have more money to spend, get some rockford fosgate ones, they make some quality 13cm component speakers.

Just see what they have at your local audio shops etc...

Yep thats what id do, infinty components are always good tbh.

I have alpine r-types which are good, but i dont think they are as good as my mates infinity ones (and he has the same headunit and speakers as you - got them from halfords as well)

its actually a alrite deal, but u should have bought ur head unit online and probably saved more than getting the infinitys 1/2 price...

if your running comps off the head unit matey id suggest you get a set with a rather high reference efficiency something like 97db type s run ok off h/u power;)
