Hey this is my first post so just get the hello's out the way.

Right i've got myself an '05 extreme 4 and i'm really pleased with it but....
It has no rear speakers and the front ones as standard are a bit rubbish.

I had alpines in my old corsa but they were a lot bigger so i need some just as powerfull on a budget of £50 per pair, so any ideas?
And also a head unit compatable with the stalk controls?

A lot to ask for first post cheers folks =]

Hi, funnily enough you have the same car.
Just put my alpine ipod ready Head unit in my car.
Been a bit of a struggle really, As mine is 55 reg the wiring kit i had was up to 05 before they changed, and so the steering controls dont work at the moment, so i had to send that kit back and just waiting for the new CAN-bus leads to be delivered which should be tommorrow.
Although to fit the kit to the display requires removing the whole of the top section of dash.

But when that kit comes i will try and install and hopefully it all works.
You will also require a patch lead that is specific to the brand of head unit you choose.

See i thought i had 4 speakers, but i only have the front two the ones on the rear shelf and in the boot are there but empty. Also there seems to be no wiring left there so i can plug speakers in which means i would have to wire them into the loom of the radio and take all the car apart, but im after a set of components for the frons and a active sub to go in the boot. Just need to find one that i like.
