Anybody got any pictures of one painted and lacquered?

Im currently doing mine. Just primed it, but am wondering if im going to need some high-temperature paint/lacquer. Just using standard cans of car paint upto now.

normal paint is fine, as the cover doesnt really get hot. i have some pics of a cool one i'm currently doing, but i'll let them post pics when they recieve it

Hill power sorted the painting for me - they put the original style stickers back on then laquer over them

i'll do it for you for a good price currently doing a couple, will be pics on the forum of em soon. Can do any colour really, and can do differennt sections in diff colours.

not loads - engine cover was about £70 painted, strut top covers approx £20, bailey tank £115, bettery cover £15, air filter was £200 approx, polishing £60 plus approx £20 for sand paper etc. blue pipes £20,

yeah thats my other option - I like having the original stickers there though and paying £70 for it to be painted silver in the first place would be a bit of a waste if i get it done again

you know i'd be more than happy to oblige , i charge a lot less than 70 quid too another option is sell the silver and get a spare and have that done. I have to say, i do love you engine bay though also have the stickers to replace the 2.0 ones

Where do the Blue pipe bits come from???? are they replacements or just cover type things?
