my car is broke!!

the revs go up and down and the electronic fault light comes on and the car cuts out,
this only happens when you turn it on and its already warm.

look it into renault this morning and they said £85 for the dignostics then parts and labour on top.

could it be the idle control valve??

i want a few ideas as im kinda broke before i start shelling out big time, ive only had the car a month

If its a 1.2 mk2 the coilpacks are common as are software issues IIRC.

Not really sure TBH mate but I'm guessing there might be something else affecting it if it's temperature dependant. Do a search on some old posts as these sort of problems seem to creep quite often.

done almost 50k

Most common faults i hear about on here are the coilpacks and ECU software on that model. £85 to diagnose sounds a bit steep, it cant take what must equate to an hour and a bits labour to plug the fucker into the CLIP and poke about under the bonnet.
