identify this catalytic converter

this was with the turbo kit i bought a while ago, that was sold on last year but i ended up with this left over.

im not sure if its from another renault in the range or is a custom cat

I think its the dci 65/80hp cat Ill have a look though has it got any other parts numbering on it?

if it was the f4r turbo kit, then its off a megane 225.

looks like a renault genuine precat but looking at the flanges it must be from an f4r turbo engine(megane 225,avantime,velsatis or laguna 2).

edde-its got an oxygen sensor so its not off a deisal.

I was wondering what that bit was. The shape just reminded me of the one Ive seen on the dialogues.

Any reason why it curves round like that surly it will reduce the speed gases can leave the turbo hence lower potenaial from the engine?

its a precat so it is bolted to the rear of the engine just below the turbo. the curve will just be needed to make it fit in the engine bay i suppose.

Its a turbo so packaging is a compramise.
