Identify this noise please!

Got a metallic noise coming from under the car nearer the front, definitely exhaust related.

After some research and many trips under the car I reckon the cat is knackered, can anyone confirm?

Check all heatshields? It won't necessarily be hanging down and vibrating on the exhaust pipes, but it could be rattling in it's fixture. I would start by getting underneath and pressing on anything that could have movement to see if you can silence it

Tried that. Been under and tugged at anything that could move, everything it tight.

Seriously, sounds like a heat shield or a bracket vibrating as said above.

Hard to say, put it on a ramp for better inspection. Good luck buddy

Check your manifold to cat bolts, i had a similar rattle when these where loose
