Idle control/tick over

I have a 95 1.4 rt and the engine idles a bit low.

how can i adjust it to bring it up a bit?

does it have an idle control valve?

can anyone help as to what to do

I take it its a common problem then.

As i did a quick search, and theres quite a few posts on it.

Prob idle control valve or throttle position sensor.

try a new idle step motor.........you can buy em online

pretty sure its that one but check how many pins yours has

if not you might need a new coolant temp sensor which is a very common problem on Clios

think the 1.2s and 4s etc have a stepper motor instead of a valve, i had problems with my ICV and took it out and cleaned it, and its alot better now although not perfect

most 1.2 and 1.4 energy engine clios had stepper moters.some of the very last ones did have an air valve(very late phase 3)
