IDLE once again

ok. ive got a 1993 1.4 clio RT and everytime i start the car it will sit at normal revs for about 5 minutes..

then the revs drop, car shudders and goes back up to normal, and keeps doing it over and over again.

Any ideas, ive already changed the TPS, ICV, Coilpack and Thermostat.

Coolant Temp Sensor or possibly the H02 sensor... CTS is the cheapest so without diagnostics to back it up i'd swap that first.

i headed over to retro renault and spoke to chris h. he told me that the lambda sensor heater was at fault and i just need to tak it for a good hard drive.

There you go then - H02 Sensor it was then. Have you done it yet and how's it faring?

i took the sensor apart, cleaned it with good old WD40. Give it a hard drive and it was sweet as! been fine since...

Not so sure on the WD40 part myself... it's penetrating oil you know not a cleaner... but if it's working again BIG Thumbs up!
